The police return and read out the sentence to the prisoner. They are to receive a full judicial punishment of which there is no escape. They must receive 50 total strokes from the Canadian prison straps delivered to the sit spot and the thighs followed by 50 strokes from the cane. 25 from the Singapore prison cane and a further 50 strokes from the smoked Singapore prison cane. These are delivered hard and without mercy on the backside, the sit spot and the thighs – the most painful of canings. The prisoner must endure this terrible punishment to end.
Once this is complete, their soul is saved and they are free to leave – but if the police see them again they will be locked up forever with no escape.
