Story time!
Let me start off this story by saying patience absolutely pays off.
This story starts off early in the year, just before Covid shut us all down and going out and seeing people was still safe and socially acceptable.
For years some of my friends have been encouraging me to visit this bar Exit on the north side of Chicago. I have a few friends and acquaintances who frequent there and a couple more that work there. Its an alternative bar with a deep metal/punk vibe. On Thursday nights they have fetish night and you'll find all sorts of people into your typical fetish stuff, obviously really heavy in BDSM and other related things from the scene but you'll find a little of everyone sprinkled in there.
So way back towards the beginning of the year back before covid devastated the entire world's social life, I finally decided to take a trip up there and check it out. Its a bit of a hike for me, particularly when drinks are involved so its not really practical for me to spend my nights there when my local watering hole is just a mile away from home and the staff is generous with my pours.
I walk in with a buddy on a Thursday night and when I get to the upstairs I'm almost immediately recognized by a couple who is a fan. This place is kinda dope. Its almost as if fetlife were a bar; well, at least what fetlife aspires to be. My buddy Karpitt dons his mask and wastes no time getting acquainted with passing women near entrance where the stairs end. By the end of the night he'll have had a dozen different ladies walk on him and trample him bare footed, boots, and heels.
I find a seat around the corner and try to warm up to the atmosphere and all the new faces. Sometimes it takes me a moment to get accustomed to new crowds. I look around and notice a girl in all black skirt and stockings glancing at me while attempting to get the servers attention. I don't think anything of it. I'm getting loose and I start to mingle. I go to the other side of the venue and begin chatting up the couple that are familiar with me.
He is familiar with my IG and I give him a follow back. I look up over his shoulder mid sentence to see the girl in black yet again who's also chatting with someone. She looks over at me, this time squarely in my face. She smirks, puts her straw back to her lips, and resumes eye contact with the person she's talking to.
The couple soon lets me know that they are gonna go downstairs and I tell them I'll stick around upstairs for a bit. No sooner than they leave, Karpitt approaches me from behind. We trade some conversation while he orders a drink. He will return back to his spot near the door and continue getting women to step on him as many times as he can before closing. As soon as he leaves, the girl in black approaches.
‘Wait, you know that guy?' she questions.
‘Oh yeah, friend of mine for sure.'
‘Right when I got here he asked me if I'd walk on him' she giggles nervously.
‘Yeah that's his schtick, you should definitely do it. He's not gonna creep you out or anything. Its all in good fun.' I attempt to persuade her.
‘I dunno' she exclaims, doubtfully. At this point I'm done talking about him and ready to flirt. We exchange names and I shoot my first shot.
‘I bet you have pretty feet, I might not mind if you stepped on me.' I chuckle. I'm not really serious but its the best transition I can come up with at the moment.
‘Haha right now my feet aren't done!' She ducks my advance. ‘I've never seen you here before' she changes the subject. We go into a conversation about the whole scene and how I have friends here but I've never been. Before you know it we are laughing and carrying on. I decide to restart my advance on her feet.
‘Its a shame your feet aren't done because foot photography is my specialty' I lead in again.
‘Well they aren't ALWAYS neglected, its just been awhile because its cold!' She sounds a bit more open. ‘Maybe I'll show you them when I get them done next'
OH HELL YEAH. SCORE. I know I'm in it now. I ask her for a number or IG or FB name. She tells me to give her my name and she'll look me up. Sweet.
We continue to talk and I tell her how me and the vendor downstairs know each other from way back before she was in the punk scene. She's amazed because she can't believe that the vendor was ever like a normie and how she's brought some clothes off her in the past. We laugh at a few more things together before one of her friends eventually drags her off.
‘Look me up!' I shout, before she gets far. She turns and gives me thumbs up.
I get home that night and look at my social media and not seeing an add or follow from her anywhere. Oh well. You win some, you lose some.
Fast forward to just a couple weeks ago. My friend, the vendor, makes a post on FB that she has a friend (me, duh) looking for women to model their feet. It turns out to be a huge post, women from all over the city are commenting, making inquiries. My DM is blowing up with a bunch of people I've never met and a couple who I do know. I get a notification from a familiar face but its a name I don't recognize. As soon as I open the message I realize who it is.
Its Bella! The girl in all black from Exit!
I begin reading the message and essentially she claims she meant to add me but her phone and by the time she got home she couldn't remember any of the pertinent details. The entire year she didn't remember how to get in contact with me until she saw the post that my vendor friend made and saw my face and name pop up. I tell her that she owes me a pic of her feet still and she sends me a message back…
‘Do you really want me to send a pic or do you just want to come here and see them in person?'
10 long months is this story in the making, and this video will show you just how much it was worth the wait.
